£0 remaining for a carpet
This lady, who was referred to us by a social worker, has fled from domestic violence and is a single mum trying to care for her four children, one of whom has complex additional needs. Mum has tried really hard to furnish her home by using free sites or buying items second-hand, but as she is on benefits, she is unable to afford a carpet for her living room. This lady has, however, saved £45 which she is able to contribute.
This single mum of four children is in unfurnished temporary accommodation. The cooker has not had a working oven for two years and the hob is now also faulty. Mum is saving a little each month towards replacing it, but it will take years for her to do that at the rate she can afford. She is currently also paying off debts which were incurred due to a relationship breakdown. We would love to be able to help mum get this new cooker in time for Christmas.
This lady has found herself in a tough position as a single mum with significant health issues, which mean she is unable to work. Mum needs to move to a property which is more financially viable for her, before falling into difficulties, but is struggling to afford the cost of moving. This money, if raised will pay for the local man with a van to support this lady with this move.
This lady who lost her dad suddenly just a few weeks ago, is living on a low income with her young family and now has the extra expense of clearing her dad’s property quickly. This is proving to be a real struggle, especially at this time of year. This funding, if raised, will pay for a local man with a van to support this lady with the clearance of her dad's property.
