£0 remaining for an electric cooker
M suffers from a number of health conditions, including a recently diagnosed brain tumour, back ache and autism. He has managed to work for many years, but can no longer do so. M has incurred debts and has asked for help with this from Christians Against Poverty. However, his immediate problem is that his old electric cooker has broken down and he urgently needs a replacement to enable him to cook his meals. M would be most grateful for help from Acts 435 at this very difficult time.
M, who is a single mum with a young son who is under the age of one, desperately needs a washing machine to help with her living situation, as she has not had one for over twelve months. M receives Universal Credit and Child Benefit, and is not in a position to afford a washing machine herself. She would benefit greatly if we can make this purchase happen and finds it amazing that people would be so kind. Thank you for any help you can give.
S is struggling with her health and finds it very difficult to get out, although she tries to be as independent as possible. Her cooker has broken and she doesn't have any other source of cooking. S is seventy years of age and has never used a microwave so is really struggling with getting food, and has been just eating toast and cold food. She only has her state pension and just doesn't have any funds. Please could we help S get hot food for the winter?
T lives with her son and they are both in poor health. She suffers with respiratory problems and often needs hospital treatment, and her son has paranoid schizophrenia for which he takes daily medication. Their flat is sparsely furnished and they just have one, very battered, easy chair and some small garden chairs to sit on. We would like to provide them with a sofa so that they have somewhere more comfortable to sit, and they would also appreciate a vacuum cleaner to help keep the dust at bay.
