£0 remaining for a school uniform and an air-fryer
This family of refugees from Afghanistan, who came to the UK in the summer, do not have any recourse to public funds and are really struggling. Their eldest daughter is six years of age and needs new school uniform as she has had a growth spurt and the weather has turned very cold recently. They would also like to buy an air-fryer to make cooking easier for them. Your help would be very much appreciated.
I am supporting a client who suffers from Noonan syndrome, a genetic disorder which causes a wide range of health issues. Struggling financially, his condition makes it impossible to work and he has found himself without cooking facilities. We would like to help him get a cooker to enable him to cook a warm meal. I have helped support my client with a new disability benefit claim that will help his finances to improve in the near future. All support will be greatly appreciated.
This lady's nine year old grandson has come to live with her as her daughter is in an abusive relationship but won't/can't leave her partner. The grandson has some on-going medical health concerns and his nanna doesn't have a bed for him to sleep in so he is currently sharing with her. The money is to buy a single bed and mattress (including delivery) for her grandson. This lady was working three jobs, but has had to give up one so she can take care of her grandson, which has impacted her income.
This lady, who is a single mum to three children, one of whom has additional needs and is supported by The Junction, also cares for her dad who has cancer. She suffered a stroke at a young age, leaving her with weakness down one side of her body. This lady is on benefits, but cannot afford a cooker, which impacts on what food she can give her children. Mum often goes without food to her feed the children. Despite this, she volunteers through an agency working in the community, supporting the elderly by cooking and cleaning for them.
