£0 remaining for a replacement key and kitchen items
This single mum has been moved from temporary accommodation in West London, to North London where she has no connections or support. Mum has a nine year old son and they are struggling financially since the move as they have outstanding bills from their previous home and now have to pay the bills on the new property. On the school run today, mum lost the key to the new property and has to pay for a replacement. She is also asking for help to buy a kettle, a toaster, some crockery and cutlery.
N, who has been battling poor mental health and is really winning, has part-time employment and is doing well at work. She has taken charge of her physical and mental health too and we are so proud! N is now earning enough to move out of an emotionally abusive home, but needs kitchen and bathroom supplies. She got a lot of items from jumble sales, but needs a microwave, kettle and toaster set and some pans for the kitchen, a duvet cover, pillowcase and bed sheet for her bed, and a toilet brush, bathroom bin and other bathroom necessities which she cannot afford on her tight budget. N is so kind and supportive of others, she just needs a little kindness now to help her succeed.
This client was formerly living in supported accommodation and has recently secured his own flat. The flat is empty and, as his only income is Universal Credit, he is unable to buy the essential items needed to settle into the accommodation. He is currently studying and would really appreciate a small table which he could use for this purpose. He also has nothing to cook with so an air fryer would be a wonderful addition to make his new place more like home. Thank you for reading this.
B, who was homeless, has just been given the keys to a new home. They are so happy; however, the flat is completely empty. We have applied for grants for most of the furniture, but this takes time. We want to try and help B find a bed and mattress in time for Christmas. We will order the bed from the British Heart Foundation. Please can you help?
