£200 remaining for a house move
This elderly gentleman, who is having real struggles managing his current accommodation, is partially blind and deaf, which has brought real difficulties and means he has been looking for a move. Thankfully, he has been matched to a place in supported living accommodation, but will struggle to meet the costs involved in the move. This money, if raised, will pay for a local man with a van to carry this out for him.
This lady, who was referred to us by a social worker, has fled from domestic violence and is a single mum trying to care for her four children, one of whom has complex additional needs. Mum has tried really hard to furnish her home by using free sites or buying items second-hand, but as she is on benefits, she is unable to afford a carpet for her living room. This lady has, however, saved £45 which she is able to contribute.
This gentleman, who has had a tough time recently, suffers with mental health and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and has been living in a property which doesn’t meet his needs, while also being financially unsustainable. He has now been matched for a property more suited to his situation, however, with his financial struggles and little support from friends and family, this gentleman cannot meet the cost of the move. This money, if raised, will cover that cost for him so he can take advantage of this much needed opportunity.
After a mistake during a surgery in 1999, A receives pain management. In February 2023 she had a fall in her bath when her toe got stuck up the tap and she banged her head. This resulted in her left eye turning inwards and she was unable to see from that eye for eight months. In May 23, her toe was amputated after being told that it was just going to be cleaned out, it's still an open wound. This impacts every moment of her day and night, and is why she needs ten trauma counselling.
