£0 remaining for carpets
X has lived for two years without any flooring in her council flat, since securing the accommodation after fleeing domestic abuse. She suffers from post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), dyslexia, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and asthma, and is in recovery from substance addiction. Trying to turn her life around, X is currently studying for a degree and her sole income is her student loan. Turned down for a previous grant application for carpets, X has managed to raise £717 of the £917 needed from other charities, and just needs the remaining £200.
L left a long term relationship because she was the victim of sustained domestic violence. She had been sofa surfing but has recently been able to acquire a tenancy for a property. L has no savings and isn't working because she suffers from chronic anxiety and depression. The new property is not carpeted and L feels like this is affecting her mental health. Helping L carpet the property will be huge for her. Thank you in advance.
R has fled from a house where she was violently sexually assaulted. She has been rehoused but has had to start again with nothing. R has no savings and her only income is Universal Credit. She is really struggling with her mental health because of everything that has happened to her. We'd love to be able to make her house into a warm, comfortable home and we're hoping with a kind Acts 435 donor we can make this happen.
S is a survivor of domestic abuse. She's residing in one of our safe homes. She's experienced significant trauma and her mental health has deteriorated. S suffered a mental break down recently and was admitted to hospital for a few months for her safety. She is back in her home but struggles to manage her day to day life and requires additional support and assistance. She has nowhere to store her clothes and needs a wardrobe which she cant afford. Any help towards this would be greatly received.
