£0 remaining for a living room carpet
We have known R for the last couple of years and recently he has been homeless for a number of months after having to flee from a violent situation. R has now been given a new flat, and is keen to get in and make a go of his new place. He has managed to source a couch, and has some belongings in storage. R does not have any carpets in his new flat and it is very cold. We would love to help him get his living room carpeted, especially as the temperature is dropping. Any help offered would be brilliant.
Our client, who is in her mid thirties, has a diagnosis of Cerebral Palsy. She has recently moved from her parents’ home and transitioned to independent living, moving into her own tenancy in a lower-level wheelchair adapted accessible flat. As a wheelchair user, using electric blinds helps her to be more independent. Our client is totally reliant on benefits, including high level disability payment, so would be unable to afford this on her own.
E is 40 years old. She has two young children, both with additional support needs, and an older daughter with significant health issues. She has a few jobs as a cleaner and has a low income. She volunteers in the church with our mother and baby group. She makes a lot of use of her microwave which has unfortunately stopped working, but she can't afford to replace it. Your help would be much appreciated.
G was previously in temporary accommodation until he moved into a tenancy in 2024. Due to cutbacks with council funding (no longer providing washing machines), G is struggling to pay for washing his clothes and bedding. G had come previously to us to have his laundry done, but this is no longer practical because he now lives further out and transport in is expensive. He is keen to become more and more independent and the washing machine would really help as part of that journey.
