X is a single mum with four children who suffers with a blood clotting disorder and is awaiting an appointment with the vascular consultant, regarding limb amputation. She has a budget with Christians Against Poverty that is helping her regain control of her finances. Recently her washing machine has broken, which is very inconvenient with a big family and limited mobility. X doesn't have any savings yet and we are asking for financial help towards buying a new washing machine.
This lady and her 1 year old child were relocated to Southend due to domestic violence and are in temporary accommodation without cooking facilities. Relying solely on Universal Credit, she cannot afford takeaway meals. We would like to provide balanced, nutritious meals for the next 6 weeks to ease her burden and ensure she and her daughter have proper meals for lunch and dinner, offering much needed support during this challenging time.
This gentleman, a former Armed Forces member, became homeless 3 years ago and has been diagnosed with PTSD, relying on drugs and medication as coping mechanisms. He has been using our centre's services and we have seen significant progress. We kindly request your assistance in providing one to one counselling to help improve his mental health and develop healthier coping strategies, moving away from substance use. This support will be life changing and help him rebuild his future.
This lady, a regular at our centre, has battled a 23-year addiction to hard drugs, stemming from a history of sexual abuse. A mother of two, she is actively attending our programs and shows great determination to create a better future. We urgently seek your assistance for one to one counselling as she is ready to confront her past, gain stability and become the mother she aspires to be. Your support will empower her to build a structured life and provide a brighter future for her children.
