£0 remaining for an anti-allergy lightweight vacuum cleaner
The St Vincent de Paul Society group in Wolverhampton has recently started supporting AW who is a sixty five year old lady experiencing many disability and health concerns. She is not working, is in receipt of Personal Independence Payment, Pension credit and State Pension (recently started). AW's vacuum cleaner recently stopped working, so the request is to help her with a purchase of a specific model that is lighter to use than her old one and has an anti-allergy feature and tools, as AW suffers with multiple allergies.
J, who lives alone, suffered a brain bleed last summer and is subsequently learning to speak and walk again. She is still off work and her income has been reduced to sick pay. J also has lymphedema from cancer in both her legs, and complex PTSD (post traumatic stress disorder) as a result of longstanding compromised mental health. She needs a firm armchair with two arms which she can use to push herself up, but cannot afford one. Can you help her please?
N is a single mother of a SEND (special educational needs and disabilities) child. She works part-time and her income is supplemented by benefits. Mum's cooker has broken, and her low income means that she is unable to replace it. She has no close family to help her, and is isolated with her child. N would really appreciate it if you could support her and her child.
Y is a single mum who has been living in a hostel with her four children aged eleven, twelve, sixteen and eighteen years old. The family has just moved into a council house, but it is unfurnished with no beds, white goods or even a carpet. Mum, who is on Universal Credit, has saved any spare money to carpet, paint and buy something to sleep on, and she has a small cooking plate. Y is in desperate need of a washing machine to keep on top of the amount of dirty clothes created by her family. Any donations would be so gratefully received.
