Mum works in a pharmacy and dad is no longer able to run his business, due to mental health and physical disabilities. The family lives in North London and is in a massive amount of debt, due to the business failing. They are struggling to afford bills and food, and are working with Christians Against Poverty towards being debt free. They do not have a washing machine so are having to hand wash all their clothes. Donation for a washing machine would be very much appreciated.
This family has just received leave to remain in the UK and has been placed in unfurnished emergency accommodation. They need some financial assistance to purchase a fridge freezer for their new home. Waiting for their immigration status to be granted has been a particularly stressful process as mum also has advanced pancreatic cancer. Any support you can provide to help the family members settle into their new home would be very much appreciated.
Our client was previously homeless and living in temporary housing provided by the council. She has now been reallocated a new flat, due to her medical conditions, and her flat has been assessed by an Occupational Therapist to ensure its suitability. However, the flat does not come with any household essentials and furniture. Our client is on a low income and is solely reliant on benefits, due to being unfit for work. She is claiming Universal Credit and an enhanced rate of Personal Independence Payment. Please can you help her to buy a washer-dryer?
