£0 remaining for a fridge freezer
N is a refugee who has just been granted leave to remain. This means she has to immediately move out of her temporary accommodation (which is furnished). She has secured a new social housing flat, but it is unfurnished. Her only income is Universal Credit and she cannot afford to purchase much furniture. A fridge freezer would mean that she can shop more cheaply and healthily and look after herself as she makes a fresh start.
L lives with her nineteen year old son in a two bedroomed flat. She has recently migrated on to Universal Credit and works part-time, but her income is low and she has no savings. L has lived in her home since July last year and has no floor coverings down. She feels that she will never be in a position to be able to afford carpets. We have an offer of free flooring, but just need help with the fitting costs. Any support offered would be amazing!
B is an elderly lady who was widowed two years ago, and her only income is state pension. She has recently moved into sheltered accommodation, provided by the council, but there are no floor coverings down anywhere. B's home is cold and expensive to heat. We have an offer of free carpets, but just need to pay for the fitting costs. Any help would be amazing.
D and his partner were left homeless and have spent time on the streets and in temporary accommodation. They have now secured a new flat, but it is largely unfurnished. They have been sleeping on the floor, which is exacerbating a back condition that D's partner has, and the cooker in the flat has been condemned and cannot be used. We've managed to source a bed for them, but your support to replace the cooker would make a huge difference to them, meaning they could cook and eat properly.
