S is a single mum who has been left to bring up three school age children and whose income doesn't even cover the mortgage. Having now run out of savings, mum has sought help with Christians Against Poverty, to help her budget. She suffers dreadfully with her back and her current mattress is over fifteen years old. S has been advised to buy a firm mattress, but simply does not have the funds. Your support would be a great blessing.
L had a house fire on 22nd March that gutted the bedroom, and smoke damaged the rest of her house. She has brain damage, as well as other disabilities, and her adult daughter stays with her to care for her. L receives Employment and Support Allowance and disability benefits.
