£0 remaining for a bed frame
K is a single mother who is living in rented accommodation and currently claiming Universal Credit and Child Benefit. Her partner broke into her house two weeks ago and damaged almost everything in her property, so K is now seeking help to replace some of these items. Fortunately, he was arrested, but there is no way to claim anything from him to recover it all. K needs your help with a bed frame, as a first step, so she can actually get some sleep. She will be getting help for other items from other charities.
M, who has been living in sheltered accommodation and sofa surfing for several years, has been given an unfurnished flat. She has managed to get some furniture, but is desperate for a fridge freezer. M loves cooking and is going on a course to help her which is organised by a charity. She is waiting on benefits to be arranged so she can buy food in the sale and freeze it. M suffers from depression and cooking is a therapy for her. Please can you help?
Our client was referred to us after he was found to be living in extremely cramped circumstances. Due to a relationship breakdown, he split from his partner and became the sole guardian of all six of his children. They moved into a three bedroom property with no furniture and his children are currently sleeping in sleeping bags and on couches. Due to a low income, dad cannot afford beds. This funding would allow him to purchase enough beds and bedding to ensure his children have a comfortable place to sleep.
This client came to us for support after she had recently moved into her new property after living in a hostel with her four children for the past two years. Mum now has her own accommodation, however, she cannot afford to purchase beds, due to low income and high outgoings. Mum has been helped by the local council with other furnishings, however, she is in desperate need of beds to ensure her children have a comfortable place to sleep.
