£0 remaining for clothing
K was released from prison at the beginning of this year, but is still waiting to access the correct benefits. He gained a lot of weight in prison, as he wasn't able to exercise much, and now has very few clothes that fit, and can't afford to purchase any new clothes.
S is a single mum of three children who has fled her home in South Yorkshire to avoid domestic violence. She has been rehoused in West Yorkshire, but the house she has moved into has no floor coverings down. S has no savings and her only income is Universal Credit. She left her former home with nothing and spent what little she had in the house move. We can support S with free carpets, but need help with the costs of fitting them. 🙏
F has fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, arthritis and digestion issues. She was living alone in a one bedroom bungalow, but has now had to move to a larger house so her carer can stay. The new house has no floor coverings down and, due to her low income and lack of savings, she can't afford to put any down. F's house is cold, damp and miserable, and has affected her mood, making her unhappy. We can provide carpets if you can help with the fitting costs. Thank you in anticipation.
Having been in prison, this man has lived in hostels for a couple of years and has now got his own unfurnished flat. Due to numerous physical and mental health issues, he is unable to work and his only income is Universal Credit. This man is trying very hard to start afresh and make his flat into a home. He has found a second-hand sofa and wardrobe, and would really appreciate your help in buying these. He currently has a sofa a neighbour put out as rubbish, and has his clothes in bin bags. Thanks.
