£150 remaining for a cooker
E lives at home with her son. She suffers from Fibromyalgia and is semi housebound, due to the pain. The Council recently condemned her cooker and, as she is on Universal credit, with no savings, is unable to purchase a new one. E is struggling to provide healthy meals for herself and her son, and would be grateful for any help.
This thirty nine year old woman, with a severe hearing disability due to a stroke when she was younger, struggles with drug addiction and lives in Social Housing, supported by our local Help Hub. She is in receipt of Universal Credit, is not good with money and is getting help to manage her finances better. Her mother bought a cooker for her when she moved into her flat, but it is not heating up properly so she is at risk of getting food poisoning. It is important that she is able to live independently. Please can you help?
