£0 remaining for a double divan bed frame
I have just had a very nice chat with B, who has recently been moved into permanent accommodation which is unfurnished. She is in receipt of Universal Credit and has a low income after paying her rent. She is paying back some deductions and is unable to afford to buy a divan bed frame. B is currently sleeping on the floor and a bed will be the first item in her new place, and the beginning of the settling in process.
C, who is struggling due to the cost of living crisis, has a serious heart condition that prevents her from working. Her bed has been in a state of disrepair for some time now and she has not been able to afford a replacement. C desperately needs a new mattress and it would completely change her life. It would have a profound and positive impact on her. Thank you for your support.
T is on a very low income and is struggling to make ends meet. The cost of living crisis has worsened the situation and now his cooker has broken. T spent what little money he had on hiring a repairman who has explained that the cooker cannot be repaired. We are supplying T with a microwave for now but any help towards getting him a new cooker would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
O, who is from El Salvador, is an asylum seeker living in a hotel with her twelve year old son. She fled from her country after being threatened by a gang member who was running from the police and asked her to shelter him. She refused and he was jailed. On leaving prison, he came to her house and threatened to kill her, but she managed to escape. O's family and her church helped her to come to the UK. She needs help to buy food, clothes and basic necessities for her son. Please can you help her?
