£0 remaining for an electric cooker
R has just been given his first permanent accommodation, having spent three and a half years living in a Hostel, after leaving prison. He is trying hard to turn his life around after a difficult past. A cooker would help him to feel settled, and make it easier for him to manage his limited budget whilst on Universal Credit.
Mum works in a pharmacy and dad is no longer able to run his business, due to mental health and physical disabilities. The family lives in North London and is in a massive amount of debt, due to the business failing. They are struggling to afford bills and food, and are working with Christians Against Poverty towards being debt free. They do not have a washing machine so are having to hand wash all their clothes. Donation for a washing machine would be very much appreciated.
S is a homeless man in his sixties who is sleeping rough and has struggled over a long time with having no status in the UK. We are supporting him with getting accommodation and regularising his affairs. In the meantime, he needs help staying safe and warm at night. Please would you donate to help S buy a sleeping bag, mat and pillow that will give him a little bit of comfort and stability while we help him to get things sorted?
Our foodbank client has two young children and is unable to work as both children are high need. She is on benefits alone and cannot save large amounts as she needs to constantly support her children. Mum lives far away from her family, who are unable to financially support her. She has no recourse to public funds. The double buggy will be for her three month old and one and a half year old. The buggy will help her get around her local area and will allow her children to travel safely.
