£0 remaining for food and travel
N is an Asylum Seeker who fled Afghanistan after the Taliban takeover. He arrived in the UK in March, after crossing the channel in a small boat. He is not currently receiving any Government Asylum support, which takes months to process, and is not allowed to work. He has lost everything, is destitute, and desperately needs support to buy food and basic supplies, as well as for travel to register with the Home Office, and to his solicitor for the Asylum application. Please can you help?
Mum works in a pharmacy and dad is no longer able to run his business, due to mental health and physical disabilities. The family lives in North London and is in a massive amount of debt, due to the business failing. They are struggling to afford bills and food, and are working with Christians Against Poverty towards being debt free. They do not have a washing machine so are having to hand wash all their clothes. Donation for a washing machine would be very much appreciated.
B has been rehoused with her two children, having fled domestic violence, and is struggling to cope. Her flat is unfurnished and she needs a fridge so that she can shop and cook fresh food for the family. B would very much appreciate your help.
This lady and her four children were moved to Wandsworth last week after fleeing domestic violence and came with only the clothes on their backs. They are being supported by the Foodbank, a domestic violence charity and Citizens Advice, and we have already been able to buy them bedding. However, they only have one set of clothes. Shoes are also very much needed as they only have one set of footwear and it is not suitable for wet weather.
