£0 remaining for food vouchers
M is in her early fifties and has not had it easy in life: having to adjust to living with a Colostomy bag and scheduling Dialysis sessions in between work has not stopped her. Unfortunately, she broke her ankle recently and now the steady stream of income through work has stopped and she has found herself with no recourse to public funds. M has reached out, and gets help from a charity to change her status in the UK, but that will take time. She is in need of food vouchers so that she can keep her special diet.
IK is an asylum seeker living in a hotel with her husband and three children, aged four, two and ten months old. The benefit they receive is £8.00 weekly each, which is greatly inadequate for their needs. One child suffers from eczema and another is grossly underweight and has mental health problems. IK needs your help to buy food, clothes and basic essentials. Please can you help her change her life? Thank you.
H is a young man who suffers from post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). He came to us with debts of around £5K which occurred when he was being moved from one property to another. He is now debt free, thanks to a Debt Relief Order. H has been working with his work coach towards returning to employment. He was given some money for driving lessons to enable him to look for work in a wider area, but needs a few more lessons before he re-takes his test. £150 would purchase five lessons for him so he has the best chance of passing his next test.
K is a single mum of two boys, aged five and seven, one who has autism and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). They were given two cats who were not neutered. As a result, the cats sprayed in the house and mum has had to take up the carpets, leaving bare concrete floors. A local pet charity has offered to neuter the cats for £5 each, which should solve this problem. Could you please donate towards a new carpet for her boy's bedrooms? This will also make the room warmer and help reduce heating bills.
