£0 remaining for a school uniform
S has been working with Christians Against Poverty for several years and applied for a grant to cover her two older children's school uniforms for this coming year, but was refused. She works part time and, during the holidays, is trying to work as many shifts as she can to earn enough to buy the new uniform, whilst also caring for her mother who is terminally ill. Providing some help for her to be able to buy the school uniforms would be just one thing less for her to worry about.
R, who is on a zero hours contract and does not have set hours, was recently homeless and now that he has a permanent home, he requires some items to make his house a home. We would like to request some funds for a microwave, vacuum and other items. These items would make a real difference to R, who is currently working so hard to rebuild his life, following mental health issues and homelessness. He is engaging with all the support offered to move forward.
