January Prayer Bulletin 2022

I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. Ezekiel 36:26

Firstly, Happy New Year from all of us at Acts 435! Thank you for all your prayers in 2021, and for your continued support of our work in the coming year ahead. As a staff team we have enjoyed a break over the last two weeks, but are ready for all that God has in-store for us in this new year. We're particularly thankful for a wonderful end to the year as donors generously gave to needs right up until New Year's Day. We would appreciate your continued prayers for new donors to join our giving community, and for more churches to partner with us this year, as the needs continue to rise all over the UK.

This month we're very thankful to God for:

  • An absolutely fantastic response to our Christmas Campaign, which saw nearly all of the requests on our website fulfilled by New Year's Day. Over 804 individuals and families were helped with one-off gifts during this time.
  • A new trustee who has recently joined our Board. Alison Tsang works for Compassionate Communities in London, which is linked with London Diocese. She is a wonderful addition to our skilled Board of Trustees, and we pray that she enjoys serving the charity in this way.
  • A good break for all our staff who were able to use the quieter weeks to spend time with family and enjoy the season.
  • The 804 individuals and families who have been helped by Acts 435 Advocates and donors with an incredible £88,910 distributed in December, which is even more crucial during the winter months.

Please also pray for:

  • Our new Administrator, Carol, who has just begun her role with us. She will be handling enquiries from donors and advocates, as well as taking on some of the other daily administration tasks.
  • Wisdom and clarity over the continuation of our Larger Gifts Fund. This fund has continued to run due to grant funding, and some larger gifts from donors. However, it is temporarily closed due to the funds depleting. It has been a valuable resource to our advocates and recipients, as the need for larger gifts has been great during the pandemic. We are considering directly applying to grant funds and trusts, and we would like God's guidance in this area.
  • Our Communications Team as they look at how we communicate with donors and new churches in 2022. Please especially pray for our social media streams, and how we can effectively use these to draw in new donors.
  • Our new website as its release has been paused while we make sure it is fit for purpose. Please pray that our patience produces the right outcome, and that God can provide the right timing for when it should go 'live' to donors.
