Give to someone in need
Acts 435 is about giving to people directly, to help them bridge the gap when they are facing a financial crisis.
Can you help a specific person in need?
Read stories of the applicants below and give as you feel able. Any amount will make a big difference to someone who is struggling.
You can instead make a general donation and the Acts 435 team will allocate it to the most urgent requests.
D is a single woman who receives Employment and Support Allowance and Personal Independence Payment benefits, but is struggling to keep on top of her bills. She has lost the use of her fridge freezer, which is beyond repair, and desperately needs £150 to replace it. Please can you help?

Total needed £150C is currently living in a two bedroomed house with her daughters, but there are no floor coverings anywhere in the house. Due to the condition of her property, Social Services has removed her children and given her an action plan to enable her to get them back. This includes carpeting the house and C will never be able to do this without help, as her only income is Universal Credit and she has no savings. Please can you help us to bring this family back together?

Total needed £200Our client is currently on long term sick, due to her medical conditions, including fibromyalgia and Ehlers-Danlos syndrome. She owns her property and has issues with penetrating damp. The costs of the works, in addition to the cost of scaffolding, is unobtainable for our client as she is reliant on benefits, due to her health conditions. A dehumidifier would help to combat the high humidity which is exacerbating her health conditions and help her to maintain a healthy living environment.

Total needed £200This client is a single parent with three young children. Their property has issues with damp and mould, primarily in the storage areas. Mum is waiting for the council to deal with the issue, but fears the mould spores will cause her children's clothes to become mouldy and negatively effect their health. We have provided them with advice and two hydrometers to keep an eye on humidity levels. However, a dehumidifier will help keep the area free of mould so mum can store things safely.
