£0 remaining for a duvet and sheets
Mum has recently had her benefits reduced as one of her children has moved out of the home to be with dad. She had unexpected bills recently for her car and a broken bed, which she managed to pay. Mum also needs new bedding, but it will be a while before she will be able to buy this. Please could you help us provide this for the family? We hope to provide a duvet and all the bed sheets required.
S has just moved into his first secure tenancy after being homeless for a period of time. His floorboards are bare and he is looking for carpet for the living room, bedroom and hall. He will pay any excess himself, but has limited money as he is on Universal Credit. We have known S for seven months, having helped him get this flat and the furniture for it. He is attending our support group and a Bible study. S is working towards getting a job soon.
R, who has recently moved into his own accommodation, has been in a supported homeless hostel for two and a half years. He engaged with us, both in Newcastle and more recently in Edinburgh. R has completed our Barista training programme and has a part-time job in the community café he did his placement with. He is also volunteering with another café and starting to look for additional work, but is currently on Universal Credit. R would like to be able to get a mattress and bedding for his new flat.
