£0 remaining for car fuel
This lady has recently moved into a new house with her four children after suffering domestic abuse. Her ex-partner has left her with a lot of debt and she is constantly living in an overdraft which incurs over £150 in fees and overdraft interest. This lady has to drive her children to three different schools and is not eligible for help with transport, so she is spending an average of £20 a day on fuel. She is due to receive debt advice from Christians Against Poverty, but needs help in the meantime. Thank you.
J, who was the victim of a violent attack, has depression, anxiety and post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and receives Employment and Support Allowance and Personal Independence Payment. He became isolated after the attack and is currently living with his mum, who is not well. J, who is engaging with the Mental Health team and Housing Support, needs to be able to live independently in local authority (LA) housing. He is worried that, if anything happened to his mum, he will become homeless. J has rent arrears from a previous LA tenancy many years ago and needs to clear these to apply for a new local authority tenancy.
