This gentleman is a Christians Against Poverty client whose house was affected by mould which meant that his bed and mattress both had to be destroyed. He is vulnerable with poor mental health and financial abuse has left him in debt so he cannot afford to replace them himself. Please can you help?
This lady is a single mother with two young children who moved from another area due to anti-social behaviour including drug taking and dealing in the stairwell of her block. She works part-time and relies on benefits to top up her wages. Her new flat is unfurnished and she has bought some items but has no savings to fully furnish it. With your kind support we provided a fridge/freezer and washing machine, we would now like to provide her with a comfortable sofa for the family and food vouchers.
This gentleman is experiencing a difficult period while transitioning to a new home, which he rents while receiving Universal Credit. Unfortunately, due to financial hardship, he has been unable to afford essential household appliances, including a cooker and often struggles to purchase adequate food. He lives alone and is managing all costs independently. The lack of proper facilities has significantly impacted his wellbeing. We would like to provide him with a cooker to prepare meals for himself.
T has recently moved from his mother's home into an independent home. He has a number of mental health issues but, in spite of this, is trying hard to furnish his home and acquire the necessary white goods. T does need a washing machine which he cannot afford from his benefit payments and, rather than accrue debts or rent a machine, has asked if we can help him.
M. Is on low income struggling financially and suffers from anxiety issues. M. Lost one of his legs years ago which left him depressed and unable work at the time. M has been homeless but has his own place now and is starting to enjoy life a bit better. He’s always been concerned about his appearance and try’s to look smart and clean, he has no means to buy a washing machine and is desperate to wash his bedding and clothes. Please can you help?
After suffering from severe domestic violence S has a brain injury which cannot be repaired. This leaves her suffering from depression and anxiety and she can go a long time not leaving her home. S is receiving support from social services to help her and her children, one of the things that is helping S is to prepare food for the children. Unfortunately her oven is not working, and her social worker has asked for support from Acts 435 as S relies on benefits and cannot afford to replace her cooker.
