School Uniform Appeal 2026

We kindly request support for a single mother with four children aged 11, 10, 4 and 3. She is on a very low income and has recently been sanctioned by Universal Credit for one week. The pram used for her two youngest children is no longer safe or usable. Her youngest child has additional needs, making a suitable pram essential. She is happy to accept a good-quality second-hand pram. She recently accessed the Food Bank for food too. She seeks support for school uniforms if possible, she said.

A is a single mum of four children aged between 4 and 14. The three eldest children have recently been diagnosed with autism, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and dyslexia, and the youngest has high sensory needs. A was working full time but since the children’s diagnoses she no longer has childcare so has had to reduce her hours by more than half. She is in receipt of Universal Credit, and no paternal support. As we approach the new school year she is seeking help to provide durable school shoes for each of her children.

S is a single mum of three children aged between 9 and 14. L is a single mother of five children who is currently reliant on benefits and struggling to meet household expenses. The school requires a specific uniform, available only through one supplier, making it difficult to manage the cost. While prioritising essential bills, she also needs to ensure her children are properly equipped for school. Financial assistance would ease significant stress and help ensure her children can attend school from the beginning of the academic year.

S is a single mum of three who works part‑time and receives a top‑up from Universal Credit. Her two daughters are about to start high school, and she is struggling to cover the cost of their school uniforms, which have become increasingly expensive. She is doing her best to provide for her children, but right now she needs a bit of help to make sure they have what they need for the new school year. Any support towards their uniforms would make a huge difference to this family.

A lady and her husband are members of our church, and have three children. They’re finding it hard to ask for help. They are used to providing for their family. They’re trying to accept God’s provision from the wider church family and trust Him. More financial help would make a massive difference. Their financial difficulties are due to complex family circumstances and the rising cost of essentials. The uniform for starting a new school is expensive and the two older children have grown out of a few items.

D has two children, has been really struggling to get by and is being supported by his local food bank. D has just started a job and has to work a month in lieu. D's children really need some new school shoes. One of them has to walk for 45 mins each way to school so really goes through shoes. Any help to by D's children some new school shoes would be very much appreciated. Thank you

E is a single mother and a domestic abuse survivor. She is working part time while balancing childcare needs, but has limited income. She cannot access benefits because of her immigration status. E needs help to get school uniforms for her children (aged 13 and 7), especially the compulsory branded items which are more expensive. This will purchase items including a branded blazer, polo school top, sports top, school shoes and sport shoes.
