Give to someone in need
Acts 435 is about giving to people directly, to help them bridge the gap when they are facing a financial crisis.
Can you help a specific person in need?
Read stories of the applicants below and give as you feel able. Any amount will make a big difference to someone who is struggling.
You can instead make a general donation and the Acts 435 team will allocate it to the most urgent requests.
Our client, who is an asylum seeker from Eritrea, came to London in June 2022 because it was not safe in her country. Mum, who has a daughter aged twelve months old, does not have any money as she only receives £8 a week. She needs a phone to make appointments for herself and her daughter and to use the map to find directions. Our client's phone was stolen in Tooting and she submitted a police report in June 2024, but has not been able to save to buy a phone.
Still £100 left to donate
Total needed £100This lady, who is from Uganda, came to the UK in March this year to seek asylum. She is living alone and is in need of a phone for communication with her lawyer, and to use the phone map to help her find places. This lady's phone fell in water two months ago and she took it to a technician who said it wouldn't work again. She has been using the phone of a friend, but the friend has now moved. This lady has not had a phone for two months and cannot save to buy one as she only receives £8 a week.
