Acts 435 Sunday 2021

POSTED ON JULY 1ST, 2021 AT 9:13AM

We're really excited that Acts 435 Sunday is just around the corner, and takes place on Sunday 11th July! This is the perfect opportunity to share the work of Acts 435 with your church congregations, and inspire them about the work that you're doing in your local community.

How to get involved

We're making it really easy for your church to get involved this year by providing two videos to share. The first video is a short 20 minute talk from our Executive Director, Jenny Herrera, about 'God's Heart for the Poor'. We hope that many churches will be able to use this video as part of their normal service's talk or sermon slot. Jenny is a frequent speaker at her own church, and is a delight to listen to - so please do forward the video onto your church leadership if you think this might be appropriate. The second video we are providing (3-4 minutes) is an insight into some of our work in Newcastle. It contains the stories of three recipients, and also two interviews with local Advocates and the impact Acts 435 has in their communities. You are very welcome to show both or either of these videos, and speak about how you use Acts 435 in your church setting. If you are planning on just using the shorter video, you might find it beneficial to also take a look at the power point presentation and script for a church talk, which has been updated with new stories and facts. You can find both of these documents here: https://acts435.org.uk/join/resources. Please feel free to amend them for your situation and your church.
