Partner Churches Bringing Hope
It’s no exaggeration to say that the UK is going through a difficult season. Across the country, families are struggling under the weight of rising living costs. Food bills are growing, energy prices remain high, and for many people, simply covering the basics has become a daily challenge.
Everywhere we look, the headlines speak of a “broken Britain” - division, hardship, and uncertainty.
But in the middle of all this, hope is still alive.
It may not make the headlines. It’s not flashy or loud. But it is steady, compassionate, and determined.
Hope looks like volunteers serving in local churches. It’s found in drop-in centres, foodbanks, and debt advice services. It’s the people quietly standing alongside those facing crisis, offering practical help, dignity and kindness when it’s needed most. As one local Advocate recently said:
"Thank you so much. This person was overcome with joy that people would do this for them. I was able to tell them that in the church we are family, and someone cares enough to see you looked after and supported with this. That they are praying for your success. I know this sits deeply with them because they grew up in care, and knowing someone is for them makes such a difference in their life. Thank you for supporting them, and allowing us as a church to be able to bring joy and hope into people's lives." - Olly, local Advocate, Liverpool
These “acts of hope” are seen when our incredible Acts 435 donors regularly respond to the requests for support on the Acts 435 website.
Since 2009, faithful supporters have helped more than 64,500 people through times of crisis and hardship. Together, they continue to raise over £1 million every year to support individuals and families in need.
We recognise that the need is still great and there is still more we can do. That’s why we’re inviting more local churches and charities to partner with us.
If you’re part of a local church or charity and want to provide practical support for people in your community, we’d love you to join Acts 435. Becoming a partner is free, simple, and a powerful way to bring hope to those who need it most.
