Warm Welcome Week 2025
This week Warm Welcome is asking all its spaces, and partners, to share about their work, but is also turning the week of Blue Monday (a day in winter which is often associated with difficult mental health) more colourful!
The Warm Welcome campaign, which is a community response to the deepening crisis of fuel poverty, has been running since the winter of 2022.
As a charity we have partnered with Warm Welcome since its beginnings, as we felt like we could contribute to the conversation, with many of our partner churches and charities were already functioning as welcoming spaces for their communities. You can read more about our partnership here.
Since 2022 Warm Welcome has been a huge success, with its Patron Gordon Brown leading the way on discussions about the need for more welcoming and warm spaces in communities. This year they have over 5,000 churches and community spaces registered, which individuals can then access to not only keep warm but feel less isolated.

These spaces (such as our partner Gillingham Community Church, pictured here), are not only a space to meet others, have a drink, and keep warm. They're also places where there is an opportunity to seek other help, such as help with finances, food or other specific needs.
This is where Acts 435 can step in to help with specific needs that these individuals might also have, such as gas and electricity top-ups, heated blankets or carpets/curtains to make a home warmer.
We're thankful to already have some partners who are registered Warm Welcome spaces, but it would be fantastic to see more spaces resourced with Acts 435 to meet the needs of individuals, and provide ways to keep their homes warmer (or other needs they might have). If your church/charity has a Warm Welcome (or other community space) then consider partnering with us, you can request for more information here.
We're very thankful to partner with Warm Welcome, to input into their mission, and see more people have access to these warm spaces, as well as the extra support that they can provide.

Are you providing a warm space this winter?
Acts 435 can be a resource for both churches and local organisations to meet the specific needs of those accessing these warm spaces.
