Newway Project, London

The vision of the NEWway Project is to see everyone receive a dignified, compassionate and supportive response which enables a successful and sustainable move away from rough sleeping in the London Borough of Newham.

We recently received this message of thanks from Abi, who is the manager of the Night Shelter at the NEWway Project:

I just wanted to say, on behalf of the NEWway Project, a massive thank you for the incredible platform you have set up and continue to run so well. What great works you do for the Kingdom!

We are blown away with how quickly and generously our requests have been met (obviously this is also a massive thank you to all the generous donors)! We are also always so impressed by how easy the whole system is to navigate.

As a grassroots charity we work with homeless people in the London Borough of Newham and one of our biggest costs is guest support. This often includes buying new phones, topping up oyster cards, booking taxis, kitting out new homes with household goods (like pots, pans, cutlery, crockery, bedding, small white goods etc). The cost of these things can add up quickly and so Acts 435 has been an absolute blessing and has meant that we can bless so many people with all these things as they start their new seasons in life.

I felt moved to just email today and say thank you. Thank you all for the incredible work you are doing. Keep going - you are providing a platform for blessings and it is wonderful to see!

One story of someone who was helped by the NEWway Project to make a new start is Aman*, who was in need of the taxi fare to get to his Immigration Appointment. Aman suffers from Sickle Cell Disease, and therefore finds public transport stressful. Aman has been working on his immigration case with a wonderful organisation and the NEWway Project didn't want him to miss any appointments, but this one was further away than usual. On receiving the gift the Aacts 435 Advocate at NEWway said:

A massive thank you to the donors from Aman who we can now book a taxi for, and guarantee attendance to his important immigration meeting.

A taxi might seem small to some, but to others, the journey can be life changing - thank you!

Our staff team was grateful to receive these messages from our local partners. Firstly, it is a great reminder of how valuable our work is to those who are directly supporting individuals, but also because it demonstrates the impact that these small gifts have to someone's journey.
