March Prayer Bulletin

For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline. 
2 Timothy 1:7

I am really enjoying the lighter days and the spring bulbs that are starting to show. It feels like a breath of fresh air. I imagine that this feeling of relief is a fraction of that felt by our recipients when they received a much-needed item through Acts 435.

Last week it was reported that there has been a record number of households depending on food banks in the UK, and as the cost of living crisis continues these one-off gifts make an even bigger difference than ever before. We would appreciate your prayers for those who are needing to seek this immediate one-off help, and for our local partners who are doing as much as they can to alleviate this hardship.

This month we have received more prayer requests than normal from our local partners for individuals on their journey of faith. We find this a real encouragement as many of our partner churches and local Christian charities share their faith with those they are helping through Acts 435. We're also thankful that the gifts given through our work are enabling these partners to build relationships with these applicants. Please do join us in praying for the individuals that are highlighted below, but also that more of these God-conversations happen as our partners reach out into their communities. 

Firstly this month we are very thankful to God for:

A legacy gift we received in February for £20,000. This gift has enabled us to help over 170 individuals in their time of need. It also meant that we were able to meet needs more quickly during a time when online donations were slower. 

An invitation to attend the Christ Central Leadership Conference in June. We don't currently have many partners from this group of churches, so this will be a great opportunity to share with them. 

The opportunity to advertise in the Premier Christianity Magazine that will be given out to all attendees at Spring Harvest this Easter. Spring Harvest is a Christian Conference, and we're hopeful that both donors and churches might see this advert and be interested in getting involved. 

The 671 individuals and families who have been helped in February by Acts 435 Advocates and donors with £82,750 distributed to those who need it most.

Our regular donors, and their continued support in giving to the needs on our website. Please also pray for new donors to find out about our work so that we can continue to meet all the needs on our website as quickly as possible. 

We have asked our local partners to share more regularly about our work either in their churches or over social media. Please pray that they are able to do this effectively, and that more donors will find out about Acts 435 through their publicity.  

The opportunities that our Christian partners get to share God's love with those they are helping. Please pray for our local Advocates to have confidence, and for more opportunities to open up.
