April Prayer Bulletin

There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.

Ecclesiastes 3:1

After such an exciting month in March, we find ourselves in a very busy season. Due to the amazing amount of generosity we are continuing to see, we are working harder than ever to seek more churches and local charities who want to partner with us to meet the needs of their community.

Please do pray as we continue to talk to our friends in major networks, which may enable us to support more churches/charities, and meet more needs.

As we come closer to Easter weekend and celebrate the new beginning that can be found in the resurrection of Jesus, we are again asking our supporters to help meet the needs of individuals who are seeking a fresh start. Please pray that we are able to meet as many requests as possible during this Easter time.

Firstly this month we are very thankful to God for:

A wonderful message from a support worker who has been providing help to a son, and his mum. The support worker was helping the child attend school, but during this she said, "It became clear that mum had very little support around her. During one conversation, she mentioned that she had not been sleeping well because her bed had holes in it. Something so basic had become another burden in an already difficult life". Acts 435 helped to support mum with a bed, which opened up conversations with the support worker, who said,  "We talked together about the message at the heart of the Christian faith: that Jesus loves everyone and offers forgiveness to anyone who asks. We sat on a garden wall for almost an hour talking about God’s love, grace, and the hope that faith can bring". The lady asked Jesus into her life. Mum said she couldn’t believe that strangers would show such kindness [in providing a bed] and told the support worker that she, “Didn’t know that kind of goodness still existed in the world”. The gift of a bed led to her openness to the gospel, and her accepting Jesus. Praise God!

Our appointment of a new Administrator, Yvonne, who has begun working with us this week. She will be checking both the requests, messages of thanks, and answering queries by phone and email.

Some great responses from some of our friends from other networks who have shared information about our work and encouraged their partner churches/charities to partner with us. Please pray for more fruit from these conversations, newsletters and articles.

Please join us in praying for:

Those who gave for the first time during the 40acts campaign. Please pray that they feel motivated to give again, and meet other needs on our website.

Our staff team, as we grow and evolve, and as some team members shift responsibilities or add hours to their role. You can see more about the newest member of our team on our website

Our friends at Christians Against Poverty and Community Money Advice as they merge to form The CAP Group. Please pray that this new way of working will be successful for both charities, the churches they work through, and also for those who are seeking support. Please also pray that we can support even more of their Debt Advice Centres.

As always, thank you for your prayers for these individuals, our Advocates and for Acts 435 as we seek to do more for those in need in the UK.

Best wishes,
Katie
