February Prayer Bulletin

Your sun will never set again, and your moon will wane no more; the Lord will be your everlasting light, and your days of sorrow will end.
Isaiah 60:20

It is wonderful to see the snowdrops beginning to come out, and some sun shining (even if it is a little chilly still!). After the busy Christmas period we're thankful that we are still seeing all the needs on our website met in a timely way - making sure that urgent requests for help are met quickly.

This year one of our focuses as a charity is to grow our partner network in specific parts of the country that we have identified as having a high level of deprivation, but where we have few local partners. In February we're focusing on finding new partners in Lincolnshire, so please do pray for new and existing contacts in this region to bear fruit of new partner churches and charities.

Firstly this month we are very thankful to God for:

The feature on the One Show on 16th January, which while it didn't create much additional support for our work the article clearly explained the impact that a lack of carpets and flooring has on individuals and families, and we pray that many people with influence saw the article.

A continuing response from our feature on Songs of Praise. We're thankful for both new donors, and repeat donors, going onto our website to support individuals after seeing us on Songs of Praise.

Nine new partners that joined us in January who are now resourced to help individuals in their community. Please pray that they will quickly be able to help those that they are meeting, and find ways of reaching out further into their communities.

The 492 individuals and families who have been helped in January by Acts 435 Advocates and donors with £74,390 distributed to those who need it most.

Please join us in praying for:

Our staff team as we look to promote Acts 435 as a resource to local churches and charities in different areas each month during 2024; pray for connections in Lincolnshire this month, but please also pray for all the new connections made in Bristol in January.

Jenny, our Executive Director, as she speaks at Ekklesia Conference at the beginning of March. Please pray for her preparations, and for individuals to be inspired to support our work and partner with us.

Preparations to attend our first ever festival event in May of this year. Please pray for unique ideas that might make our stand attractive to potential donors and churches.

As always, thank you for your prayers for these individuals, our Advocates and for Acts 435 as we seek to do more for those in need in the UK.

Best wishes,
