February Prayer Bulletin

I love you, Lord, my strength. The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.

Psalm 18:2

I had the joyful moment of seeing the first snowdrops of the year down our street this morning, and what a great reminder of all the good things to come.

I hope you've had a blessed start to the year. Acts 435 has certainly hit the ground running already this year, as we've seen the amazing generosity of our donors, and an amazing amount of people helped. We have much to cover in prayer this month, so please join us in praying for all the points below.

Please pray for those who are struggling with bills and debt

Please pray for families and individuals who are being impacted by debt and struggling to pay their bills. For many, a loss of income, a pause in benefits or a crisis can lead to people falling into debt, or struggling to pay for the everyday bills. Please pray for those in these situations to find the help they need, and that our local Advocates can support them with one-off needs but also signpost them to other available help, if needed.

Firstly this month we are very thankful to God for:

An article posted by Christian Today that is a thought leadership piece by our Executive Director, Jenny. Please pray that as people read of the crucial role the Church plays in helping those in need they will be prompted to give to individuals on our website.

A fantastic response to our fortnightly mailshot last week, as we saw many visiting our website and supporting individuals.

The 481 individuals and families who have been helped in January by Acts 435 Advocates and Donors, with £86,115 distributed to those who need it most.

Please join us in praying for:

The connections we have recently made with Place of Welcome and the Priority Communities Team at the Diocese of Bristol, who are both keen to share Acts 435 with their churches and organisations.

The ChurchWorks Summit that we are attending in London at the end of February. Please pray for good connections at the event with both old and new contacts.

The advertisement that we have just posted for a new Administrator to join our team. Please pray that we find the right person to join our team, and bring the necessary skills to the role.

Carol, our Administrator, as she moves roles within the team, and reduces her hours to spend more time serving her church pastorally.

As always, thank you for your prayers for these individuals, our Advocates and for Acts 435 as we seek to do more for those in need in the UK.
