January Prayer Bulletin

I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.

-Ezekiel 36:26

This month's Prayer Bulletin is slightly later than usual, but I wanted to wish you a Happy New Year!

As a charity we're beginning this new year with hope and expectation for all God has in store for us, as we seek to help an increased number of individuals in 2024.

Firstly however, we want to give thanks to God for all our donors, new and regular, who gave in December. During December we were able to help 835 individuals with over £123,000. This was mostly due to all the opportunities that we had in December to spread the word about our work, and in particular our feature on Songs of Praise. Please do pray for Colleen who featured in our piece on Songs of Praise, as she has a terminal illness, and has been in hospital since Christmas. Please pray for God to be with her, and her family, at this time.

Please also pray for all the new supporters who heard about us in December. We would appreciate your prayer that they would feel drawn to give again, and support our work to fulfil the needs of those in crisis or facing hardship.

Firstly this month we are very thankful to God for:

Our amazing, and record-breaking, month of giving in December. We're thankful for all our donors and supporters who helped to support 835 individuals and families.

A restful festive period for our staff team, even after a very busy December.

Our website, which coped well with the increase in traffic after Songs of Praise was aired.

The 835 individuals and families who have been helped in December by Acts 435 Advocates and donors with £123,225 distributed to those who need it most.

Please join us in praying for:

A feature that will mention Acts 435 on the BBC One Show, on 16th January. They filmed with an Acts 435 recipient in Halifax, and are highlighting our pilot project in partnership with a well known carpet company. The pilot aims to provide carpet to those who are unable to afford it. Please pray that this piece not only encourages people to support our work, but also that those with influence will see it, and it will highlight the lack of carpets and flooring for those on low income or in social housing.

Our staff team as we continue to look forward to 2024. Please pray for a breakthrough in areas and church networks that we haven't already reached, so that we can resource them with our work.

The different events that we hope to attend as we look to share our work with potential donors and supporters, and for God to guide us in other opportunities with the press and media as they arise.

As always, thank you for your prayers for these individuals, our Advocates and for Acts 435 as we seek to do more for those in need in the UK.

Best wishes,

Katie
