January Prayer Bulletin

Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead. I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

Philippians 3:13-14

A huge Happy New Year from myself, and our team! We hope that you have a blessed 2026, and that you'll join us in continuing to pray for our work and those we seek to help.

As we start this new year we're looking forward to all that God has in store for our work. We have some exciting opportunities coming up, so please join us in praying for these.

Firstly, please do pray for those who are struggling with their finances and the cold over the winter months.

Please pray for families and individuals who have to make tough choices over their finances during these months, especially when they're unable to heat their home. Pray that they will seek the support they need, and that we can fulfil many requests for energy costs, heated blankets and other items to help keep a home warm.  Also, pray for our local partners who are seeing these needs in their local community, and help them to support these individuals.

Firstly this month we are very thankful to God for:

An amazing response to our Christmas Appeal, which saw a record-breaking amount given by 721 individual donors who wanted to bring comfort and joy to individuals during December.

Our friends at Warm Welcome who are in the midst of supporting their spaces through the cold winter months. Warm Welcome aims to support spaces with funding and advice, as well as providing a map to help individuals to access a local space.

The 876 individuals and families who have been helped in December by Acts 435 Advocates and Donors, with £139,630 distributed to those who need it most.

Please join us in praying for:

Our visit, on 9th January, to one of our local partners who are also open as a Warm Welcome space. Please pray that we can encourage our partner charity, and film some stories that we can use to collaborate with Warm Welcome on social media. We hope that this video might encourage more Warm Welcome spaces to sign-up to partner with Acts 435 to provide for the specific needs of those accessing their space.

Our journey with Jersey Road (a PR company) during the first half of this year. This is the PR package that we won in a competition last year, and we are very excited about the plans that they're already putting in place. We will have the opportunity to spread the word about our work through new outlets of press and media, so please join us in praying for a great response from both individual supporters and churches who want to partner with us.

As always, thank you for your prayers for these individuals, our Advocates and for Acts 435 as we seek to do more for those in need in the UK.
