January Prayer Bulletin
Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.
Deuteronomy 31:6
Happy New Year from all of us at Acts 435!
We really hope you will continue to join us in praying for our work and those we seek to help in 2023. We're excited to see what God will help the charity to achieve this year.
Firstly, we would like you to join us in thanking God for his provision at the end of 2022. In both November and December we received over £100,000 each month, which directly went to the needs of 1,646 individuals who needed support this winter.
As we hear of the 15% increase in fresh food prices* we're aware that the need for one-off financial support will continue to increase. Please do pray for those who are going to be impacted by these increases, and for our partners as they support those struggling.
Firstly this month we are very thankful to God for:
The generosity of our donors in November and December, with over £200,000 given across those two months, all of which has been given directly to the specific needs of individuals in the UK.
Our donors who gave generously to fulfil all the needs on our website by Christmas Eve, which meant that many were given hope in time for Christmas.
The 837 individuals and families who have been helped in December by Acts 435 Advocates and donors with £101,270 distributed to those who need it most.
Please join us in praying for:
Our local partners who are continuing to see the increasing need in their communities. Please pray for peace as they help those who are struggling, and for their mental and physical health this winter.
Our local partners who are opening as Warm Welcome spaces. Please pray that they can utilise Acts 435 to meet the needs of those they are meeting, but also that they can use these opportunities to talk to individuals about the Good News.
A new connection with Community Money Advice. Please pray that we can share our work with more of their debt advice centres.
Our staff team as we begin a new year of helping those in need. Please pray for good health, and also for the team as we plan ahead for the coming year.
As always, thank you for your prayers for these individuals, our Advocates and for Acts 435 as we seek to do more for those in need in the UK.
