June Prayer Bulletin

"Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”
Matthew 17:20

I hope that this email finds you well, and that you're enjoying the brighter longer days. We have taken part in some fantastic events over the last few weeks, and we would appreciate your prayer for all the seeds that have been planted. Please pray that we will see more people stepping in to support our work, and donate to individuals through our website.

One of these events was our Giving Hope Together online event, which you can now watch on our YouTube channel: https://youtu.be/_uuMGD3kxdU?si=tB337-264Be7VQ9M

I also wanted to share this message of thanks from an Acts 435 recipient who was in desperate need of having her septic tank emptied. It is a wonderful reminder of answered prayer:

"An enormous thank you to everyone who was kind and generous in helping me out in my hour of need with emptying my septic tank. Quite remarkably, I had prayed to God. I'm not particularly religious, though I have faith. I guess this is the confirmation that I needed, that we are not alone, we are looked after and there are some truly lovely people out there. Thank you!!!"

Firstly this month we are very thankful to God for:

The wonderful time we had at The Big Church Festival last weekend. It was wonderful to talk about our work to so many individuals, especially many who hadn't heard of Acts 435 before. Please do pray that many will go on to support our work over the coming weeks and months. (Photo below is of Rhona, our Operations Director, and Alison, one of our Trustees, at the Big Church Festival).

Our online event, Giving Hope Together, which was well attended by nearly 50 supporters. Unfortunately we had a technical glitch and couldn't play a video we had intended to show. However, we're thankful that some of our local Advocates on the call were happy to share their stories live instead.

A connection with charity 4 in 10, in London. They help to resource charities all over London, and are keen to share Acts 435 with those they partner with. They're initially going to do a spotlight on our work, so please pray that this demonstrates what we do effectively.

The 477 individuals and families who have been helped in May by Acts 435 Advocates and donors with £68,720 distributed to those who need it most.

Please join us in praying for:

Our team, and some of our local Advocates, as we attend a few of the Christians Against Poverty (CAP) regional conferences this month. Please pray that we get interest from many new churches who run a CAP service.

A project to re-allocate returned funds after the fee for a Debt Relief Order was abolished in England and Wales. Please pray for communication with donors, and with our friends at debt advice charities who are navigating these projects too.

Our carpet project pilot, which has been very successful for some our local partners. Please pray that we can work through the next steps with the carpet supplier, Mercado.

As always, thank you for your prayers for these individuals, our Advocates and for Acts 435 as we seek to do more for those in need in the UK.

Best wishes,
Katie
