March Prayer Bulletin

Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For the measure you use, it will be measured to you.
Luke 6:38

After such an exciting week here at Acts 435, we have so much to thank God for this month!

Last week we were featured as one of the reflections in Stewardship's Lent Resource, 40acts. It encourages individuals, families and churches to take on daily challenges, and this year was all about generosity. The email was sent out at 6am on Thursday and by midday we saw all the requests for help met on our website! We were then able to put up some more requests, as our local partners posted them, and these were also met by 8:30pm (picture below Clare from Stewardship along with Katie and Jenny from Acts 435 celebrating the success of 40acts!).

Not only this, but due to the nature of Stewardship, individuals also gave general donations through their Stewardship accounts, some of which are still waiting to be applied to requests on our website. Just like the Bible verse above - the donations have been 'running over' and we are desperate to find more churches and charities that want to partner with us to be able to post requests. Please do pray for this.

Firstly this month we are very thankful to God for:

The generosity that we saw during Stewardship's 40acts, as we saw over £30,000 given in just 14 hours on the day!

A fantastic day at the ChurchWorks Summit, which focused on the relationship between the Church and Government. The day brought together over 300 delegates from different churches, denominations and charity networks. We made lots of exciting connections, as well as having many positive conversations with churches. Please do pray for these conversations to be translated into new partnerships, and for the fruitful connections to continue.

We received this answered prayer from one of our partner charities in Nottingham: "Thank God for the transformation in S's life. We hardly recognised him when he came back to our centre after he'd been through rehabilitation. Please pray for his continued recovery."

The 675 individuals and families who have been helped in February by Acts 435 Advocates and Donors, with £115,620 distributed to those who need it most.

Please join us in praying for:

Our communication with those who gave through our website for the first time during the 40acts day last week. Please pray that they will continue to be excited about our work, and that they will be stirred to give again.

The upcoming interviews for a new Administrator to join our team. Please pray that we can appoint the right person into this role, as it is a crucial role for both our donors and local Advocates.

Some recent new connections that we have been exploring with other charity networks. Please pray for good outcomes from these conversations.

The end of the Household Support Fund (HSF) at the end of March. This has been a resource for local councils and crisis support services to provide specific items for individuals. As this changes to become a different fund, please pray that some of the services that were previously accessing the HSF might find out about Acts 435 and the similar way to provide for these items. You can find out more about this here.
