May Prayer Bulletin

Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.

Thessalonians 5:16-18

We've been appreciating the warmer weather here in York, as we look towards the summer months ahead. Since our last prayer bulletin, we have much to be thankful for, as well as pray for, so please stand with us.

Yesterday, both I and Rhona visited one of our partner charities, Clean Slate Solutions, in Middlesbrough. We were blown away by the impact that Acts 435 is having on those in their community who are seeking a fresh start after a conviction. Please continue to pray for all our partner churches and charities who are providing the support of Acts 435 to those in their local area, the impact that this has on individuals and the community as a whole.

This month we received a lot of requests for prayer for individuals who were moving home. There were some who were seeking a fresh start in a new location or finding permanent accommodation after being homeless. Please join us in lifting up all those who are seeking this new beginning, and pray that they would settle into their new homes quickly.

Firstly this month we are very thankful to God for:

The amazing generosity of our donors during our Fresh Start Appeal over Easter. We saw 105 requests for help met with £18,890 given. Please also pray for those individuals that were helped with these requests, and that they would be able to have the fresh start they desperately need.

The summer months ahead as we continue to seek new partnerships with networks and local churches and charities. Please pray for our team as we continue to make connections with different charity networks, denominations and organisations.

The 449 individuals and families who have been helped in April by Acts 435 Advocates and Donors, with £74,020 distributed to those who need it most.

Please join us in praying for:

Opportunities we have to share with wider networks, such as the Diocese of Southwark and a city-wide initiative in Bristol. Please pray for churches to see the need for Acts 435 in their communities, and that we would receive a lot of interest in partnership.

Our team, as we look to hold initial interviews for a new Digital Content Officer. Please pray that we would find the right person to communicate about our work and impact.

Our partner charity, Noah's Ark, in Halifax. Their building was broken into earlier this week and a lot of damage was done to the structure of the roof. Please pray for the team, as well as the repairs that need to be undertaken so they can safely carry out their work.

As always, thank you for your prayers for these individuals, our Advocates and for Acts 435 as we seek to do more for those in need in the UK.

Best wishes,

Katie
