November Prayer Bulletin

The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness shall not overcome it.

John 1:5

I hope you enjoy some fireworks today, and what a great reminder for us that the light shines in the darkness! We have lots to be thankful for this month, so please do take the time to read our prayer points below, and join us in thanking God for the provision He has been bringing us during this season. 

The most exciting news we have recently received is that we have won a PR/Marketing package worth £15,000! This is very exciting for us as our work is fully self-sufficient on Gift Aid. We don't have a budget for marketing and publicising our work. We're hoping that this journey will enable us to reach more potential partner church/charities, and new donors. We also hope that it will enable us to have more skills and knowledge about how we are able to advertise our work further in the future.

During November we would ask that you join us in lifting up those children who are living in poverty. There are currently £4.5 million children who are living in poverty in the UK, and who will be going without daily essentials, as well as comforts that make them feel safe in their homes. At Acts 435 we're able to step into some of these gaps, and provide items such as beds and carpets, but please pray for the families that need it to seek this help. 

Firstly this month we are very thankful to God for:

Winning the Jersey Road PR competition with a £15,000 PR package, which we hope will enable us to grow our work. 

Our Key Partner Gathering that we held two weeks ago. It was a fantastic time to connect with some of our most engaged local Advocates, as well as some key contacts from other charities, such as CAP, Church Works and Stewardship. Please pray that our Advocates will continue to be encouraged in all they're doing for their local communities, and our external friends will be keen to keep sharing our work with their networks. 

Our team day, which enabled us to enjoy each other's company, relax and talk through some of the bigger picture topics for Acts 435. 

The 549 individuals and families who have been helped in October by Acts 435 Advocates and Donors, with £85,090 distributed to those who need it most.

Katie and Nathan as they go to the Redeeming Our Communities Conference at the end of November. Please pray for good connections and opportunities to share about our work.

Katie as she attends a meeting in York on Thursday where churches are coming together to ensure that 'no one is left behind'. Please pray we can connect with churches that haven't heard of us before.

Our team as we finalise our plans for our Christmas Campaign, which will begin on 1st December.
