October Prayer Bulletin
Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap the harvest if we do not give up.
Galatians 6:9
I hope this prayer bulletin finds you well. We're very thankful for your prayer and support for our work, partner churches/charities and applicants. As the weather has begun to change, and the leaves are falling, we would really appreciate your prayer for upcoming change at Acts 435. We will soon be saying goodbye to Nathan, our Digital Content Officer, as he moves on from Acts 435. Therefore, we are also looking to recruit someone new to the role.
This month we ask that you particularly pray for those who are elderly and infirm, and who are particularly struggling with financial costs and bills. We often have requests for individuals who are struggling due to bereavement, ill-health or other changes in circumstances that can lead to difficulties with bills and everyday expenses.
Firstly this month we are very thankful to God for:
Connections that were made at the Warm Welcome roundtable last month, which has opened opportunities in Birmingham. This includes an invitation to attend an event with around 300 Warm Welcome Spaces. Please pray for this event on 19th October.
A meeting this week with Canterbury Diocese, as we explore partnering with their church schools. It would be fantastic to support these schools in meeting the needs of their families.
Our connection with Churches Together in England, as a Charities Network in Association. These meetings provide lots of connections for us as a charity, as well as support from others.
An opportunity with Church Action on Poverty to be a part of their Just Church resource, which will help churches to engage with justice in the coming months.
The 595 individuals and families who have been helped in September by Acts 435 Advocates and Donors, with £91,450 distributed to those who need it most.
Please join us in praying for:
The recruitment of a new Digital Content Officer. Please pray that we are able to recruit the right person into the role who is able to take our digital content forward, and help us to grow as a charity.
Our website development, as we look to launch some significant tweaks. Please pray these are well received by supporters and partners.
Our local Advocates, and in particular those who are unwell or who are caring for family members.
Our team as we look at preparing our Christmas campaign, which will encourage donors to support families and individuals this Christmas.
As always, thank you for your prayers for these individuals, our Advocates and for Acts 435 as we seek to do more for those in need in the UK.
Best wishes,
Katie
