Give to someone in need
Acts 435 is about giving to people directly, to help them bridge the gap when they are facing a financial crisis.
Can you help a specific person in need?
Read stories of the applicants below and give as you feel able. Any amount will make a big difference to someone who is struggling.
You can instead make a general donation and the Acts 435 team will allocate it to the most urgent requests.
A is a single parent who is in poor health, is dependent on benefits and has no savings or family support. He is the sole carer of his children, due to him ending the relationship with mother of the children when he suffered much abuse at her hands, severely affecting his mental health. A manages well on his limited budget, but is in desperate need of a new double bed, mattress and bedding so that he can sleep well and not aggravate his health issues. However, he is not able to afford an appropriate one. Any help is much appreciated.

Total needed £200R has lived in temporary, single parent accommodation with her one year old daughter for over eight months. She has just been given some good news; a flat of her own, and picked the keys up yesterday. R is so excited to set up a safe home for her daughter, but is also anxious, as she has no spare money from her Universal Credit to buy a sofa, curtains and cooking equipment. Please can we help this wonderful mum to start afresh, making this flat a home and safe place to make happy memories in?

Total needed £200K is a single mum who lives with her partner. Her eldest son lived with his father until last week when he went missing. The police found him and the boy stated that his father had beaten him, which was confirmed by the police. K thought that the father had custody of the boy, but the police and Social Services said there was no evidence. Mum now has custody, but the boy is not allowed to attend school and is still pronounced missing for safety reasons. He only has the clothes he came in. Please can you help him?

Total needed £100This lady is currently working with Social Services to, hopefully, take her grandchildren into her care, as her daughter is in a bad way. Social Workers are supportive of this, but a house inspection is due, and this lady is concerned that she has inadequate floor coverings in her kitchen, if there are to be young children in the house. She only receive Carers Allowance, as she cares for her autistic son, so money is tight, but this lady has been saving all she can to prepare for the children's arrival.
