Give to someone in need
Acts 435 is about giving to people directly, to help them bridge the gap when they are facing a financial crisis.
Can you help a specific person in need?
Read stories of the applicants below and give as you feel able. Any amount will make a big difference to someone who is struggling.
You can instead make a general donation and the Acts 435 team will allocate it to the most urgent requests.

K, a wheelchair user, who has a diagnosis of Autism and chronic pain, is moving into her own place which is unfurnished. A priority for K is an Orthopaedic mattress, as poor sleep exacerbates her chronic pain and concentrating and communicating with others also becomes harder. An appropriate mattress would give K the best chance of a good night’s sleep and, in turn, enable her to focus on starting a craft course and making new friends. K is on the waiting list for a Personal Independence Payment assessment and only receives Universal Credit so is struggling financially.

Total needed £150A new Wharfedale and Aireborough Christians Against Poverty client is looking for funds to create a bedroom for her three year old Autistic son. She will need to paint the room and furnish it. Her idea is to get sensory items with an ocean theme for him to engage with. The client is struggling to manage with basic bills, on Universal Credit, and is getting support from Foodbanks, as well as us. The room is currently usable and they have no money in order to make it a liveable space for their son.
