Give to someone in need
Acts 435 is about giving to people directly, to help them bridge the gap when they are facing a financial crisis.
Can you help a specific person in need?
Read stories of the applicants below and give as you feel able. Any amount will make a big difference to someone who is struggling.
You can instead make a general donation and the Acts 435 team will allocate it to the most urgent requests.
TM, who has a mental health disability and is signed off work, has been in touch with the Christians Against Poverty team (CAP), due to escalating debts. CAP will work with him to try to reduce his debts and support him with a personal finance plan to help him. TM, who lives alone in rented accommodation, struggles to afford to travel to a launderette most weeks, and his washing machine has been irreparable for a long time. TM is desperately in need of a replacement and we have sourced one for £199.99. Please can you help?
Still £200 left to donate
Total needed £200This lady was involved in an accident which has resulted in her having limited mobility. Her current flat has no floor covering and so it is dusty. She does not have the ability to be able to clean and so requires floor covering to reduce the amount of dust coming in through the floorboards. This lady is unable to purchase flooring herself, as the accident has left her unable to work.
Still £200 left to donate
Total needed £200L lives with her daughter's family, as her daughter is her carer due to L's ovarian cancer. She had a 16.5lb tumour removed last year and received chemotherapy, and also has a hole in the back of her eye. L receives Pension Credits and Personal Independence Payment. The family live in a council property which only has a small bath, and L is unable to get up and out of the bath. We are requesting funding for tiling to create an accessible shower area to enable her to wash safely and with dignity.
