Fresh Start appeal 2024

There is a lot of negative information and news at the moment, and we hear a lot about the rising cost of living, how many are going without basic essentials, and how low incomes are crippling many. Yet, in the midst of all of this hopelessness, we witness stories of hope every day.

As strangers give financially to the requests on our website, and our volunteer Advocates selflessly respond to those in need around them, and those struggling, so often through no fault of their own, bravely come forward for help.

This is why, in the run up to Easter, we choose to celebrate new starts, new beginnings, new opportunities for fresh hope and fresh perspectives. In the Bible, we read ‘behold, I am making all things new.’ We hear of God’s plan to bring old things to an end and bring life. We follow this example and respond to His commands to give to those who are in need, to be His hands and feet on the earth and to allow people the freedom and opportunity to start again.

For every request you donate to that offers a chance for a new beginning and for a fresh start, you invest in the life of a person and in their potential for change and for a life worth living. Donating to requests for asylum seekers and refugees offers the opportunity for the most needed Fresh Start, for safety and for peace. When you donate to a request for moving costs, you allow someone freedom to make new choices and a new home. Requests for these things and for many others, new employment, training courses, nursery fees, temporary accommodation are all investments in individual people and the potential for old things to become new.

You can give to any of the requests in our 'Fresh Start' category here.

Join us this Easter as we seek and witness light in dark situations, hope for the hopeless and opportunity for a fresh start. ‘Behold, I am making all things new.’ Revelation 21:5
