A renewed sense of hope for the future
*James had been living in temporary supported accommodation, doing his best to provide stability for his young son in an uncertain environment. Day-to-day life was a challenge. His two-year-old boy would only eat a very limited range of foods, making mealtimes stressful and difficult to manage.
When James was finally offered a flat of his own, it marked a huge step forward - but the reality of starting from scratch quickly set in. The flat was completely empty. Although he managed to gather a few essential items from family and friends, his low income meant there was little he could afford to buy. Most concerning of all, he had no cooker. Without a cooker, it meant preparing the specific meals his son relied on was nearly impossible.

Everything began to change thanks to the support of generous Acts 435 donors. With the funds raised, James was able to get a cooker for his new home - something that made an immediate difference.
James can now cook warm meals for himself and his son, creating a sense of routine and comfort that had previously been out of reach. Mealtimes have become less stressful and James’s new accommodation is now beginning to feel like a home.
James now feels a renewed sense of hope for the future, and he is deeply grateful for the kindness shown to him and his son.
