Help for a good night's sleep
Alice* had been accessing the foodbank based in her local church, and in conversation with them the foodbank became aware that she had recently been homeless for a long period, but she had recently been given a permanent home.
The home however was empty, and although she has been able to buy some things to fill her new home from charity shops, she still needed a bed frame and a washing machine.

She had been sleeping on a blow up mattress for six months, which meant that she hasn't been sleeping well, and this was impacting her mental health.
The local church, which is an Acts 435 partner, had helped with some items, including a mattress, but the Advocate posted a request for a bed base and a washing machine. Alice's request got met quickly, and she then said:
"Thank you so much for the help for me to get a bed base and a washing machine. They will really make a very big difference and I can finally sleep in a bed rather than a blow up mattress or the mattress I have been given, on the floor. I feel that there is some hope for me and I am very grateful. It made my day when the foodbank told me I had been blessed by this. I am so thankful to God, He has heard my prayers. Thank you".
