Helping in more ways than one

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts! You have made our Christmas in more ways than one.

This mum, and her three young children, fled from domestic abuse two years ago. After being in temporary housing, they have been provided with a permanent home, but it had no carpets. All the family are suffering from trauma, the the three year old has a speech delay, and mum has Crohn’s disease and anxiety. Our partner church was helping the family with food bank supplies when they heard that their new home had no flooring. Thanks to a partnership with a carpet company the church was able to provide bedroom carpets to help make their home warm and comfortable but they needed the help with the fitting costs from Acts 435. After Acts 435 donors stepped in to help, Mum said:

Myself and my children would like to thank you for your generosity! There are no words to describe how much these carpets will help us settle into our new home! The last two years have been extremely hard for my children as we have had to relocate many times for safety reasons. We all feel settled now and have been welcomed into church! The children are loving Sunday School, and I get a chance to worship and meet others at the same time! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts! You have made our Christmas in more ways than one.
